TouchToDo is one such iPhone app that delivers what it promises. It is an excellent task management system that is easy to use, and feature-wise, that lets users plan their task effectively and efficiently. Even for a novice, it won't take more than few minutes to get used to the functionalities of TouchToDo. Please read ahead to know more about the pros and cons of TouchToDo, from a neutral perspective.
Features
By hitting the '+' button at the bottom left of the app interface, one could schedule tasks and file it in any of the pre-loaded lists (i.e. (Inbox, Today, Next, Scheduled, Someday). Also, tasks can be added to projects, which are nothing but a group of tasks related to a larger goal. That is, one could create a robust, fully-tagged, checklist driven project supported with detailed notes and info and exacting due dates. Further, all the completed tasks can be tracked automatically in Things' Logbook. It is not a free application for iPhone the app costs $9.99.
On the downside, TouchToDo does not come with any alarm notification, nor does it have any built in push notifications (hopefully the coming versions of the app will have these features). From a user perspective, the outcome is that the app needs to be launched every single day, to use it. For most of us, this is going to be a real nagging routine, if we were to work with TouchToDo iPhone app.
Final TouchToDo app thoughts
TouchToDo is useful to the common iPhone users, at one level or the other, a fact stressed by many portals that had reviewed the said app. However, the app has couple of glaring shortcomings, especially the lack of push notifications feature that makes it looks like a iPhone 2.0 OS app rather than an OS 3.0 compatible one. Also, the app comes with a hefty price tag of $9.99. Summing it all up, iPhone users will love TouchToDo. But those looking for a quick-to-do task manager might not opt for TouchToDo.
