That is less than half the time it took the iPod to sell seven figures. For those of you who have somehow missed the promotional blitz, the Apple iPad is an ultra thin computer that is shaped like a tablet, which means that there is no keypad and no flip screen. Instead, the iPad is operated by touch screen. And since the iPad was designed for internet browsing, this feature actually makes it much faster and more efficient than a computer with a mouse and a keypad. Who uses the iPad? The target demographic for the new device is undoubtedly the younger generation. The iPad excels at browsing, media consumption and gaming, all of which appeal to younger users. The iPad is also compatible with Apple's enormous apps catalogue, which means that users can enjoy the same applications they use on their iPhones. What are some popular iPad apps ? Because it is less than a month old, the catalogue for apps that were designed for the iPad is a bit thin. But Apple has assured users that thousands of new iPad apps will be released in the coming months.
